The platform shall consist of what specific goals and objectives you wish to accomplish for the 2007-2008 Academic Year and how you plan to accomplish those goals.

What is Elizabeth City State University (ECSU)? Elizabeth City State University is a small Historical Black University dedicated Institution of Higher education that produces top quality undergraduate and Graduate Students. As a candidate for SGA Vice-President our plan of action may want to include. ECSU into an institution where the various student talents are displayed, with enhanced social functions, intellectual competitions that challenges the brain, Grant Writing Seminars, Preparations for Higher Education, Portfolio and Resume development, incorporate various religious groups, underrepresented academic majors within the university, regions, nationalities, and community involvement groups.


Elizabeth City State University is the largest employer within North Eastern North Carolina. Elizabeth City will be known as "home" for everyone.” It’s my goal as candidate for Student Government Association Vice-President to provide venues where everyone voice and opinions are listen too. Within the community it’s a must that we are in the High Schools and Elementary Schools mentoring the next generations. ”Education is a trade that must always be sharpened and challenged. Since education is a trade it is important that this trade is used and passed on to the younger generations.” Kaiem L. Frink

The time has come for change at ECSU with Chancellor Gilchrist leading the initiative and these highly qualified prospective Student Government Associations candidates. We are just the executive cabinets’ officers that will get the job done. We will make it our professional priority to adjust the transition of ECSU into an "academic friendly and social enhanced campus” with a twenty-four hour computer lab. Whether the computer lab are operating in various dormitories lobbies or even employing an additional 11PM to 8AM third shift staff at the ITC. More enhanced study environments with additional advertisement for on and off campus educational conferences and career/ research fairs for the ECSU community.

I will not make it my business to put a new "face" on this campus, but to display the wonderful talents that Elizabeth City State University student body and administration posses. Elizabeth City State University may be need of improved landscaping; additional outdoor lounge areas, as well as parking lots to simply solve the parking problem on campus why not just build a parking garage! Besides those aspects we must all be proud of the quality of the education that we have received at this institution whether it’s inside or outside of our courses. I will try my hardest to assist the President of the student body in addition to executive officers while still maintaining academic excellence in my courses.

We have something special here at ECSU. We have large majority universities that have partnership with ECSU. To name a few of the partnership institutions are University of New Hampshire, Kansas University, Ohio State University, Pennsylvania State University, University of Maine, and UNC-Chapel Hill. Why would these institutions truly want to partner with ECSU a minority institution? Its due to the fact the that Elizabeth City State University develops effective academic leaders. Within the SGA academic Year in 2004 The Don Morning Jr. Administration saved the ECSU Book rental program, to our two term highly effective PLAYERS administration. These universities know the characteristics of an ECSU student. Which is displayed through these wonderful 2007 SGA candidates.

I believe that we all can agree on this, that the day is over for making promises at ECSU it is time to make CHANGES! If you want CHANGE you want FRINK!
